Sunday, March 7, 2021 Third Sunday in Lent

From Pastor Erin….
It is with a mix of emotions that I have announced my resignation as Pastor of Peace Lutheran, Greenock, and accepted a call to serve as Intentional Interim of Christ Lutheran, Millvale.  Church Members should have received a letter in the mail.  Easter Sunday will be my last with you all, but I hope in the meantime to get to say goodbye and thank you for all you have done for me and for my family.
We continue to strictly observe mask-wearing, social distancing and all previous protocols.
We will have some “light” singing with solos and brief congregational singing.   Windows will be open, and liturgy will be abbreviated.  If you have any symptoms or high-risk concerns, stay home and we’ll upload the recording on Sunday afternoon for you to watch.

Thursday Night Zoom Bible Study at 7pm: Read John 2:13-22

Stay tuned for a full schedule of opportunities and ways to participate!
Including an Easter Vigil Bonfire!  Schedule to be published next week.
Don’t forget to use your weekly Lenten Devotionals, The Poetry of Lent!
Poetry of Lent! booklet and Poems by Mary Oliver where provided for downloading or viewing in your 2/24/21 Email.
Thank you to all who are offering updates for our prayer list.  If you have a loved one on the list who can be removed, or if you have someone to add, please let the office know.

Weekly Lenten Devotionals are being mailed/picked up from the church office. Your 2/09/2021 Email has files which can be viewed electronically, or shared with your friends and family! There is a devotional booklet, and then poems by Mary Oliver which the devotional references.

NEW WEEKLY Lenten Devotions: The Poetry of Lent:
Every journey needs a guide – and what better guide to the 40 days of Lent than the beloved poet, Mary Oliver? Winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, Oliver is widely celebrated as an accessible, insightful observer of the natural world, the life of faith, and the interplay between the two. Imagine a six-week journey with Oliver at your side, illuminating ancient passages of scripture; provoking bite-sized meditations on key Lenten themes; and pointing toward everyday practices for individuals, families, and congregations. In the coming weeks, you’ll receive a printed booklet, AND an email with a link to read with your e-reader, and a copy of the all the poems you’ll need.  (However, If you’d like to order Mary Oliver’s book yourself – CLICK HERE TO GO TO AMAZON.COM and purchase Devotions by Mary Oliver.)

We teach the Bible

We have Ministries in our Church that help us provide time for today’s busy life.

We hold Worship Services

Normally every Sunday is when we hold our Worship Services.  Church Service starts at 10:45 AM

A busy Church is present

During the week we have groups that meet and learn the teachings of our Lord whose word is in the Bible

We help provide
Biblical Teachings for all your needs!

The Bible is the history of the beginning of everything, up to the coming of Jesus Christ Son of God. It has two parts, the Old Testament, and the New Testament. These then are sectioned into Books, with teachings for all to learn until the end of time.

We provide Biblical solutions!

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…
